Our Taupō fitness retreat is in an ideal spot, only a 3.5 hour drive from Auckland, a 4.5 hour drive from Wellington or a quick domestic flight from New Zealand’s main centres.
Over one epic summer weekend you’ll enjoy luxury accommodation, daily HIIT classes, yoga sessions and delicious healthy food with plenty of down time to relax and explore the town of Taupō.

After making your own way to Taupō, You’ll spend three nights at Taupō’s Wairakei Thermal Resort, enjoying a room with a view and great facilities to get you into that holiday zone.
Wairakei Resort is one of Taupō’s best resorts. Only 5km from Lake Taupō itself and close to some of the town’s most popular attractions, you’ll never be stuck for things to see or do.
All guest rooms have en suite bathrooms and view from their private porches or balconies, and there’s geothermally sourced heating too (although we hope you won’t need it in February!)

A TAUPO FITNESS RETREAT:
THE ULTIMATE SUMMER HOLIDAY
Over four days, you’ll take part in five High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts with your group, led by our skilled trainers. These HIIT session are short and sharp, combining a mix of functioning and strength training with cardio to elevate your heart rate and get your blood pumping! Each HIIT session lasts for approximately 45-60 minutes including a warm up and warm down, and you can attend as many of these HIIT sessions as you like.
As part of the Taupō fitness retreat you can also join three group stretch and yoga sessions to help your body recover. Our trainers will tailor the sessions to focus on the muscle groups used in your HIIT workouts, and incorporate yoga movements and poses to help increase flexibility and improve muscle strength and tone. As with the HIIT sessions, the stretch and yoga sessions are fully optional.
Escape and explore
Included in the retreat are two awesome recreation activities to help you see some of the beautiful town of Taupō. The Lake Taupō group kayaking activity will take the whole group on a tiki-tour across the lake to see the historical Māori rock carvings at Mine Bay, with swimming and refreshments included. You’ll also get free entry to Wairakei Terraces hot pools, a collection of hot thermal pools rich in minerals that are said to have unique healing and therapeutic benefits.
To help fuel you for the day’s activities, you’ll enjoy a daily buffet breakfast at the resort. Also included are two delicious, nutritionally balanced lunches and dinners at the resort and one group dinner and drinks out on the town. We can cater to specific dietary requirements too, so if you have any allergies or special requests, please let us know.
